Arsenal End 22-Year Wait: Premier League Title Returns to the Emirates

The Moment Gunners Fans Have Been Waiting For

The long drought is finally over. Arsenal have been crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years, after Manchester City drew 1-1 at Bournemouth — ending three consecutive runners-up finishes for Mikel Arteta's side.

How It Happened

Arsenal secured their 14th top-flight championship with a game to spare, after beating Burnley 1-0 the previous night. Manchester City needed a win at the Vitality Stadium to force a final-day showdown, but a draw sealed the title for the Gunners.

A Season of Resilience

Arsenal topped the table for much of the season, but their title challenge appeared to stall in April when a 2-1 defeat at Man City seemed to hand the advantage to Pep Guardiola's side. The Gunners, however, rallied and held their nerve to clinch the crown.

Arteta Makes History

The triumph makes Mikel Arteta the first Arsenal manager to win the Premier League in 22 years, following in the footsteps of Arsène Wenger's legendary Invincibles side of the 2003/04 season. Arsenal finished with 25 wins from 37 games, accumulating 82 points at the top of the table.

What's Next

The Premier League season concludes on May 24, with Arsenal set to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park — where the trophy lift is scheduled to take place. For the red half of north London, the celebrations have only just begun.
